Still Life with Satsumas and Lead Glazed Jug
For thousands of years pottery was predominately glazed with lead, which gave a beautiful lustre-like sheen, but sometime last century it was deemed harmful and couldn't be used on domestic ware. I enjoyed painting the reflections, which altered much as I slightly changed my position. You can make out my distorted portrait in the pot.
